Chiropractic Adjustments Improve Function and Range of Motion
At our clinic we take the health of your spine seriously. Standardized diagnostic and treatment methods are used, always being mindful of your comfort and well-being. Our doctors are well versed in many Chiropractic techniques including:
Full Spine Diversified: This is the most commonly used chiropractic technique and is directed to the spinal column and extremities articulations. Diversified refers to the fact that it is the most commonly used technique out of other manipulation methods and can be used in conjunction with other therapeutic modalities . It uses small thrusts with rapid delivery, avoiding over-stressing or causing further damage or discomfort. It focuses on return of normal function and correction of poor alignment and vertebral subluxation.
Cox Spinal Decompression: It is a well-researched and documented method of successfully achieving positive results in an extremely gentle and effective manner popular with our patients.
Palmer Specific: This is a package of adjustment techniques that are differently combined to meet the unique needs of each patient. Techniques are applied only to the specifically relevant circumstances, allowing for effective treatment of unique cases.
Sacro-Occipital: An approach philosophically different from other techniques, it emphasizes manipulation and control of spinal fluid pressure and seeks to normalize the relationship between the back of the head and base of the spine. It also looks to locate and address the primary subluxation which is at the root of the patient’s condition.
Instrument Adjusting: This is a swift and gentle form of chiropractic manipulation using a specialized instrument. It is an effective way of achieving correction while avoiding natural negative physical responses to readjustment in skeletal positions, such as soreness and inflammation.
Myofascial Release: In this technique, the soft tissues are massaged in order to relax contracted muscles, maximize lymphatic drainage and blood circulation, and trigger the stretch reflex of the muscle and overlying connective tissue.
Motion Palpation: This is a method of assessing for joint dysfunction by using the hands to feel and evaluate the energetic motion of specific spinal segments during patient movement.
Orthopedic Extremity Adjusting: In this technique, normal and abnormal joint function in the extremities is evaluated and adjusted towards the optimum. Due respect is given to existing disease and judgment emphasized as to when and when not to adjust, considering existing circumstances.
Laser Therapy: Truly a space-age technological advance in pain reduction, laser therapy treatments are an effective for spinal nerve and soft tissue damage.
